Anonymous accounts and recovery codes

Some free-seat promotions create an anonymous account. You choose a password; we give you a learner name (like learner-7F3KQ) and a one-time recovery code.

• Sign in with your learner name and password.
• If you forget your password, use Sign in with your recovery code. You'll get a new code; the old one stops working.
• Reminders and support replies arrive in your Inbox instead of by email.
• Your account and data are deleted automatically 90 days after your access ends, unless you add an email in Settings, which turns it into a standard account and keeps your progress.

If you lose both your password and your recovery code, we can't prove the account is yours, so support can't restore it. Download the code as a text file when it's shown.
