Finding your Social Security estimate
- Go to ssa.gov/myaccount and create (or sign in to) your account.
- Open your Social Security Statement.
- Find your estimated monthly benefit at full retirement age (67 if you were born in 1960 or later).
- Enter that amount in the course. It's in today's dollars.
The estimate assumes you keep earning about what you earn now until you claim. If you plan to stop working much earlier, your benefit may be lower.
